We delivered our first workshop on how best to support autistic children during the Coronavirus pandemic on April 11th. It was delivered both in the English and Kurdish language. We had 32 parents join our online session with Dr. Ava Doski and Dr. Kazhaw Rashid.
The parents were based in Kurdistan Region, United Kingdom and United States respectively. We understand that the impact of coronavirus has drastically changed the lifestyle of many children, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
Initially, we intended to hold our workshops in various cities, together with parents and face to face, but unfortunately during these unprecedented period, we are unable to pursue our initial plan. Nonetheless, we intend to hold monthly workshops, and hope to have as many people join us.
The next workshop will be held at 6PM on the Zoom app, 16th of May, 2020.
